What is a CDS? CDS (Chemical Dispense System)

CDS is also called Chemical Delivery System

A CDS is a device that dispenses chemicals from the manufacturer’s packaging directly to the processing equipment. This concept reduces chemical contamination, consumption and degradation, improves operator safety and extends the life of the equipment.

CDS – Chemical Dispense System is available in different versions depending on customer needs and type of chemicals. For solvents, we usually use stainless steel materials that comply with fire safety regulations. For acids and alkalis, we use specific corrosion-resistant plastic materials (also FM4910 certified).

In both cases, we use only high-performance materials to ensure that no chemical contamination or degradation occurs, guaranteeing safety and long equipment life. SPM CDS can be used to dispense chemicals into the plant starting from 1000 liter IBC containers, 200 liter drums, cans and bottles of different capacities.

We usually install imported dosing pumps and backup pumps to ensure continuous water distribution to the point of use even if one pump fails.

The basic system consists of a drum/IBC housing and a pump, which dispenses the chemical directly from it without any chemical reserve. To increase reserves and avoid downtime during drum/IBC changes, we install a day tank and/or a second drum/IBC housing.

We use only high-quality components for our tools. We use metal-free valves as standard to produce high-purity products. We can provide flow meters to monitor flows, balances to control volumes, and refractometers to analyze chemistry.

PLC Control

The PLC controls all functions of the CDS. The user can check system status, change settings, and perform maintenance operations via a touch screen. All CDSs comply with safety CE regulations.

If required, we can manufacture equipment with ATEX certification.

SPM can provide distribution implant monitoring software that is fully customizable to your needs and has multiple access stations that can interface directly with multiple equipment PLCs.
